As part of our burgeoning peer support ministry, a series of trainings presented by the California Institute for Mental Health and the Peer Support in Congregations Project will be offered onsite at MCCSF — open to those interested in offering peer support in the MCC-SF community.
The first training, a Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault webinar, will be presented by Kinjia Ross on Monday, December 16, 2013 from 6-7 pm. The goals are to 1) provide overview of sexual assault and domestic violence issues 2) discuss relevance of SA & DV in the LGBTQ community; and identify strategies and resources to support those dealing with SA and DV concerns.
